How do we read sunglasses dimensions?

Most sunglasses (and eyewear) have the same measurement format: lens width - bridge width - temple width. This will look something like, for example 63-14-125 mm. It is important to note thatthe measurements are in millimeters (mm) and represent the widths of the key parts of the frame.

In most cases the measurements are written on the inside of the temple. However there are instances where only the temple width is written. In these cases the other measurements are usually found engraved in tiny writing on the inside of the nose bridge. Dimensions are a great way to know if a frame will fit your face and once you figure out the right dimension range for your face you will have an easier time picking up the right frames.
